Truly a great moment. Very PG-13.
Impressions:
Man, the CGI was bad this week. As was the writing. And the everything. I think I might be ready to call it if next week is similarly awful. All the edge from the first episode has faded away at this point and it’s down to PG rated yelling about their feelings. “What!? He got hurt and never said anything? THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!” You’ve been in the show for I think three minutes, dude. I think your reaction was longer than all the scenes about how much you hate the idiot. I’m not even sure there’s enough to even call it skin deep.
The other third of the episode is spent trying to foreshadow some bigger eviller plot about how the original group disappeared and the big baddie is up to something extra evil. Is that supposed to be unexpected? Well, maybe the original team stuff, but I’m not a fan, so I don’t really care one way or the other, and despite the first episode, I doubt this would do anything very daring when it comes to older characters. Gotta venerate the canon after all. This is anime, and especially Sunrise.
