I guess this is the thief arc.
Impressions:
Unfortunately, mainly an info dump episode with a side of recap. Towards the end, we started getting introduced to apparently a couple new characters for the next arc. Both are flavors of con man, one smarmy, one stabby. The stabby one only got a few seconds at the end, and that scene was really missing a clue as to how the other guy was cheating. Or should have not framed it like the guy was if the intent was instead to play up the stabbiness of him. The smarmy one had a little more screen time, plus flashback, but the flashback especially was entirely unnecessary. Let’s stay in the present with things actually happening.
Regardless, most of the episode was either in the expositional flavors of “As you know, our world history is…” or “I will now explain my interests and hobbies.” We learned about the goddesses, the next mini-boss, Teoritta’s backstory, Xylo’s hobbies, so on and so forth. All through people simply announcing them. I almost would’ve preferred the date episode it was seeming like it’d be from having a festival with traditional medieval soba. As you do.
