Square Enix have today announced that FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH will launch on the 3rd June 2026 for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. A physical edition will also be available for the Nintendo Switch 2, with it including a Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY “Zack Fair” card, featuring a variant art by Tetsuya Nomura, while supplies last.
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH was originally released on the PlayStation 5 in February 2024, before being ported to Windows PC in 2025, and on the 3rd June 2026 the game will come to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. It is the second game in the FINAL FANTASY VII remake trilogy, and offers an entirely new experience compared to the original game it based on.

In addition to the announcement Square Enix have confirmed that those who have save data from FINAL FANTASY REMAKE INTERGRADE will also receive bonus items in game. Summoning Materia: Leviathan will be granted if save data from the main story is found while Summoning Materia: Ramuh will be granted if save data from INTERmission is found. Finally, digital editions are available to pre-order with a 20% discount being offered on both standard and digital deluxe editions of the game.
