Updated listings at online retailers, such as Amazon UK and Anime-On-Line, have revealed that the upcoming Steelbook Edition for The Place Promised in our Early Days has been pushed back until the 23rd March 2026. At the time of writing the AllTheAnime Store still lists the release date as 9th February 2026, which is the original date the set was due to be released on.
As a reminder this Steelbook Edition for The Place Promised in our Early Days contains the film on both Blu-Ray and DVD, of which will most likely use the same disc materials as previous Anime Limited releases of this film, as well as the films soundtrack on CD all presented in a steel book case.

Synopsis: In 1996, an enormous tower is constructed on the southern shore of Hokkaido, it’s purpose-unknown. Curious, three school children make a vow to discover the mysterious tower’s secrets. Will this promise have to be left unfulfilled when one of the three falls into a coma?
It is unclear what has caused the release date to be changed, but it is safe to assume it is a production and delivery of stock to retailers issue, just like with the Naruto Shippuden sets.
Either way this Steelbook Edition of The Place Promised in our Early Days is currently listed for release on 23rd March 2026 and is available to pre-order from online retailers in the UK.
