Impressions:
Oh boy, a literal training episode. As if we don’t have enough of that in anime. At least it appears to be only the one episode, as two completely random NPCs pop in and immediately succumb to giant tentacle disease or whatever. To be finished next week, but if we hadn’t spent a third of the episode on the new comic relif character, or flashbacks to things that happened 15 seconds prior during the training bits, we might’ve been able to finish this whole deal in a single episode instead of stretching it out to two.
I guess it’s sort of interesting that the animation wasn’t quite as godawful as it was for most of the actual action episodes, and was merely extremely poor, as he once again recites the lessons of “take fighting seriously” into thin air for them to continue to ignore. That’s where the praise ends. No more training arcs, please. Just go bash some heads.
