File this news under fashionably late, but i’m excited to share that 134 episodes of the original Naruto TV anime series can be streamed on BBC iPlayer in the UK in English dub format.
The addition of Naruto comes as a big surprise, and according to the BBC iPlayer description it was added on the 1st February 2026. As of writing 134 episodes, which covers the first four seasons and majority of the Sasuke Retrieval Arc, can now be streamed on the platform and are seemingly presented uncut in PAL High Definition format. It’s not known if more episodes will be added in the near future, but I would expect so.
Synopsis: The little ninja that changed the world finally comes to Blu-ray! Journey back to a simpler time when Naruto was a little scamp pulling pranks and defacing monuments. A social outcast with the dreaded Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit locked inside of him, Naruto’s infectious optimism and never-give-up attitude propels him towards the path of greatness. Relive the outrageous beginnings of a generation of ninja that would go on to become legends!
As it stands BBC iPlayer currently have 1022 episodes of ONE PIECE and the entire series of Digimon Ghost Game in English dub format. Dragon Ball super, alebit in its edited TV broadcast format, along with multiple seasons of Pokemon are also available to stream.
If you’ve yet to experience Naruto, and do not have a Netflix subscription, then you can now do so on BBC iPlayer, but the series is also available on Blu-Ray in the UK via Anime Limited.
