Anime Limited have today announced, through a post on their official blog, that Summer Wars will be released on 4K UHD Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray and DVD on the 27th April 2026 in the UK. That’s not all, as different editions of the film are also being offered including a 4K UHD Deluxe Edition that contains the soundtrack as well as the film on both 4K UHD Blu-Ray and Standard Blu-Ray. This Deluxe Edition is scheduled to release slightly later on the 11th May 2026.

Kenji is your typical teenage misfit. He’s good at math, bad with girls, and spends most of his time hanging out in the all-powerful, online community known as OZ. His second life is the only life he has until the girl of his dreams, Natsuki, hijacks him for a starring role as a fake fiancé at her family reunion. Things only get stranger from there. A late-night email containing a cryptic mathematic riddle leads to the unleashing of a rogue AI intent on using the virtual word of OZ to destroy the real world, literarily.
