Crunchyroll, in partnership with Sony Pictures Releasing, have today released an English Dubbed trailer for the feature-length-film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea, which is expected to screen dubbed and subbed in cinemas across the UK on 1st May 2026. Advance previews for the film will also be taking place on the 29th and 30th April 2026 with tickets available to book online from 17th April 2026.
Animated by Eightbit, and directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea is a stand-a-lone film within the anime franchise and takes place after the events of Season 3. The story sees Rimuru and his companions as they visit a private resort island and encounter a new nation under the sea.
Synopsis: After concluding the opening ceremony of the Demon Kingdom Federation Tempest, Rimuru and his companions are invited by the Celestial Emperor Elmesia of the great elven nation – the Magi Dynasty Thalion – to visit her private resort island. As the group enjoys their brief vacation, a mysterious woman named Yura appears. A new incident unfolds against the backdrop of the boundless azure sea.
Tickets for the film are expected to become available to book online at participating cinemas from 17th April 2026 , but the film will receive advance preview screenings on the 29th and 30th April 2026 before its general release on the 1st May 2026.
As a reminder the fourth season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime also began simulcast streaming on Crunchyroll last week and the previous three seasons all available to stream on the platform. The series so far, and previous film, are also available on Blu-Ray in the UK through Crunchyroll.
