…Great.
Impressions:
I’m a little surprised at how trashy this is overall. Not that I had high hopes in any way, but the number of fantasies that she has about being brutally raped, and the way that it’s treated are incongruous to the extreme. “T-They’re going to rape me! Squeeeee!” It’s not traumatizing. It’s a joke. Or worse, fanservice. Boy it’s awful to be used as a sexual object. Now look at her, we’re using her as a sexual object. See how she blushes and squirms, but actually is really turned on by it? And then it ends with her getting a faceful of his morning wood and, again, it’s a supposedly hilarious moment. She’s so awkward about her feelings and this situation that she finds herself in. Being a slave wife. Ha ha. What a silly billy she is.
No, the premise did not sell itself to me. It’s a hard needle to thread to start with, and if you’re going to make a joke out of it, then make a joke out of it. Half-assing the serious side where she says being violently raped would be totally bad while fantasizing about it, that prevents either aspect from being effective. But also, pick up the damn pace. The flashbacks added nothing not already covered by the title of the show, and the entire rest of the episode was spent chained to the wall daydreaming about sexual assault, only to just barely get to the premise already spoiled by the show’s title. Find a better use of your narrative and time.
