Announced during the Gamescom Opening Night Live stream earlier this year an anime based upon the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice game, known as Sekiro: No Defeat, will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll in 2026.
Produced in partnership with Kadokawa, Crunchyroll, Qzil.la, and ARCH, Sekiro: No Defeat will retell the events of the game — a tale of loyalty and blood, set in a fantastical reimagining of Sengoku-era Japan. Here is what Kenichi Kutsuna, director of the adaptation, had to say about this upcoming anime production.
