The trial begins again, and anew, with Danganronpa 2×2 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S & Windows PC. Introduced during the Nintendo Direct Presentation, and then later confirmed for other platforms, Danganronpa 2×2 is an enhanced version of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair that combines the original experience with an entirely new scenario for twice the fun.
As described by Spike Chunsoft; Danganronpa 2×2 includes a brand-new scenario based on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. The setting and cast of characters remain the same, but a certain incident triggers a completely different chain of events with different victims, culprits, and tricks. What’s more interesting is that this additional scenario offers the same amount of content as the original game. The original game meanwhile has been improved with quality-of-life improvements for modern consoles.

Class Trials combine deduction and action elements to create an exciting gaming experience unlike any other.
Danganronpa 2×2 is in development for a worldwide release in 2026 for the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S & Windows PC. The original game, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, is also available for Nintendo Switch and Windows PC.
