Severely lacking horny Lestat.
Impressions:
Half the episode spent on an ‘interview’ which contained none of the actual interview and was just an excuse to recap half the premise of the show. Specifically Luna’s character. Featuring two blank faced people staring ahead with glassy looks in their eyes asking questions like “So, you’re a vampire?” There was a new character, but she had maybe twelve lines in total and they were pretty much all variations of “What a cute and good girl she is.” She’s a family friend or something? And is an adult that just happens to be hanging around at the school? Or is maybe the principal or something? Legitimately I don’t know that anybody actually addressed or responded to her except Luna, so maybe she’s just a figment of her imagination. That would at least be something.
The second half of the episode was instead a recap of Otori’s character, or complete lack of one. He likes to draw. His family owns a liquor shop. I too do not see the humor in these pronouncements, and yet, they are what we are going to be spending the next ten minutes oohing and aahing over. Completely out of ideas, huh? Can’t think up new characters, new situations, and certainly not new developments. Another episode like this, and I think I may be done with this show. Lord knows there’s not going to be any big ending.
