Impressions:
Time to start weeding down the Saturday shows, and this was not a good episode. It wasn’t as chaotic as the first episode, and especially by the end, had devolved into around eight straight minutes of infodumping where the best part was the one girl rolling her eyes and just summarizing a car as “has horses, goes fast.” The budget also apparently ran out about a third into the episode despite having not really done anything much more exciting than competing explosions for dramatic reveals from clouds of dust.
The writing for the rest of the episode was far worse, mostly repeating reveals already made last week. Cool motive, still murder. Really hard to both sides this when one side is a mass murdering psychopath, and we won’t really tell you what the other side is doing, just that they’re lying about something. Something important. The destined destiny of prophecy. Really big. Stay tuned and we’ll give you another hint in two weeks. We’ll see how the rest of the episode twos go, but I can’t say I’m enthused by any of the characters or story here.
