Impressions:
This episode was irritating me with, you guessed it, more overreactions and yelling, but then they went off to save some art thief from a dude… uh… licking paintings. Which seemed like a move in the right direction, except that it again did the thing where he just magics around and everyone falls over, so we cut right to the ‘boss.’ Except that she’s all “Whoa there. We could fight, OOOORRRRR I could give you a three minute presentation where I explain that magic exists in this setting and our bureaucracy.” And everybody literally stood there, waiting patiently for the lecture to finish. Complete with visual aids, by which I mean she made water words in the air. As one does. I know I can’t discuss taxes without having “capital gains” appear above my head.
Finally, after long last, he hit her, which was a special kind of punch, as she needed to internally narrate twice over, and declared that she had it all wrong. He was fighting to do his best for a slow life. This was the point where I may have uttered some profanity and gave myself ocular torsion from eye-rolling. It was also the cliffhanger. The actual fight is to be continued. Aah, Jump. You truly do never change.
