Ugh, Hogwarts.
Impressions:
The weakest episode of the three, but at least still cruised right along, unlike certain other shows I could name. Which feels like all of them at this point. It was more concerned with a barrage of introducing every zodiac flavored classmate, plus a few faculty members, but none get any more than a name and their (supposedly) quirky trait before it’s on to the next one. Which didn’t drag, as they didn’t stop to explain that the werelion girl with a lion name is using lion transformation magic to transform into a lion as most other shows would be unable to resist doing, but it still was no… say, Horizon first episode intro of all its characters.
Add to this a little bit of info dumping and… there just wasn’t much going on this week. Introductions and a half-assed attaboy at the end to try to go out on some kind of resolution. Which, again, shouldn’t be something that should be praised. Realizing that the episode is over and it should be wrapped up SHOULD be the bare minimum. And yet, for most shows, it is sadly not.
