MCM Comic Con London – May 2026 – Tour of Show Floor & Panel Highlights

It has been a week since the May 2026 event for MCM Comic Con London, otherwise known as MCM London Comic Con, begun and it is already time to reminiscence and showcase our highlights from the event as well as take you on a tour through the show floor. MCM Comic Con London took place at the ExCeL Centre in London between 22nd and 24th May 2026.

TOUR OF SHOW FLOOR:

As per usual MCM Comic Con London was seperated in to two halls, north and south hall, with each offering a variety of different stales, activities, and stages.

NORTH HALL:

North Hall was home to the various vendors (or traders as I called them) but it also featured the POP Asia area, which include the stage for performances, cosplay central and support on cosplaying. The most notable part of this area for me was the Volksvagen Booth as you can play a modified version of PAC-MAN CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION inside the van. They even had a score board keeping tracking of all the high-scores, which (rather comically) I ended up being the highest.

The North Hall was also home to the Honkai: Star Rail booth which had a cosplay photo oppurunity and a booth filled with merchandise. Sadly I did not get a close up of the merchandise, as the queue was rather lengthy – even on Friday. The Traveling Man shop also had an impressive booth and sold plenty of Manga, Light Novels and other items such as board games and art books.

SOUTH HALL:

South Hall is where Anime Limited, Bandai Namco (Bandai Hobby UK), Forbidden Planet, Kodansha, Panini, VIZ Media and various other publishers had been set up. More importantly South Hall is where Artist Alley, and the Artist Alley Stage, could be found.

INDUSTRY PANELS:

Bandai Hobby UK x Anime Limited Gundam Panel:

Bandai Hobby UK partnered with Anime Limited (All The Anime) to host a penal to discuss all things GUNDAM related. This panel initial began with a breakdown of the Universal Century timeline before re-announcing the launch of THE GUNDAM BASE in London and a selection of exclusive products that would be available when it opens on 3rd July 2026 in Camden Market.

Towards the end of the panel Anime Limited went on to announce that Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe will be heading to cinemas across the UK this Autumn. Sadly, no date was mentioned but at least we know that it is coming. News of this announcements can also be found here and here on our site.

PANINI Manga & Comics Summer Showcase Panel:

Panini UK held a Summer Showcase Panel to highlight upcoming Manga and Comics that are being released in to the UK. The panel was split in to two sections, with the first half focusing on Manga Titles (such as TEOGONIA, Our Dating Story and How I Attended An All Guys Mixer) while the second half focused on Comic Books such as The Amazing Spider-Man, Mickey Mouse and Doctor Who.

The entire panel was filled with information about each title they currently have in circulation, along with release dates for upcoming volumes. Of course, I was more interested in the new product licenses and these included “Teacher, We Will Destroy The World”, “Stitch in Time” and “Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories” as well as an early look at the new cover art for Star Was Jedi Fallen Order The Manga. A recap of the announcements can be found here.

GUEST PANELS:

Dragon Ball Z English Dub Voice Cast Panel with Linda Young & John Burgemier:

On the Capital Stage the original FUNimation (Crunchyroll) English Dub voice actors for Frieza (voiced by Linda Young), and Tien Shinhan (voiced by John Burgemier) took part in a panel where they discussed their experience with the show and answered questions from the crowd.

It was a nostalgic panel, especially for those who grew up with Linda Young as the voice of Frieza, and gave fans an insight in what it was like working on (at that time) a relatively unknown show. You can watch the full panel in the video below.

My Hero Academia English Dub Voice Cast Panel with Gabe Kunda, Leah Clark and Austin Tindle:

Gabe Kunda (who is the English voice for Lock Lock / Rock Lock), Leah Clark (who is the English voice for Himiko Toga) and Austin Tindle (who is the English voice of Monoma) in FUNimation (Crunchyroll) English Dub of My Hero Academia took part in a panel where they discussed their experience with the show and answered questions from the crowd.

The voice actors discussed how they brought the characters life on screen, and what those characters mean to them, as well as answered questions from the crowd which included some rather interesting (and comical) choices.

20 Years of Death Note with the English Dub Voice Cast Panel with Brad Swaile, Brian Drummond and Alessandro Juliani:

To celebrate 20 years of Death Note the English Dub voices for Light Yagami, L, and Ryuk attended MCM Comic Con and took part in a panel on the Main Stage. Brad Swaile is the English dub voice of Light Yagami / Kira, Brian Drummond is the English dub voice of Ryuk and Alessandro Juliani is the English Dub voice of L.

This particular panel was very insightful, and comical, as not only did we learn more about what it was like for them to work on the TV anime, but we also saw them reflect on the overall experience. The latter half of the panel also featured a questions and answers session with the audience, and saw a bit of comedy involved with the guests.

In reality MCM Comic Con London May 2026 was filled with activities and panels, but these were the panels and activities that I focused on at the event. Tickets for MCM Comic Con London October 2026 are also available to book now with further details available through the official website.
