Ya’ll boring.
Impressions:
Unfortunately, the murder people were sidelined to spend yet another damn episode taking a test. A test featuring a bunch of petty bullying nimrods. Meant to feature Ewe and be her character episode, but her arc is almost literally just “You should care about something,” “Oh, wow. I hadn’t thought of that. Thanks. Now I’ll care about something and Do My Best.” The usual empty platitudes that plague anime. Other characters absolutely should’ve been frustrated with and yelled at her. Have some emotion or at least interaction with them instead of internally narrating the things not happening at all.
Made worse by so much of the episode having the air sucked out of it by over-long and unneeded explanations of what happened at literally every step of the way. This wasn’t some crazy heist escapade with a dozen twists and turns. We set a trap, and then you walked into it. We disguised someone and ambushed you. Neither of these things required a couple minutes of explanation plus flashback to re-show it. Ewe’s big ‘fight’ may have been the worst. Oh no! She’s surrounded and cannot fight four at once. Now, each of you attack her one at a time. What!? Her power level is higher than yours!? Yes, her power level must be high because of her backstory, which we will now be showing. The pacing has been stabbed in the face and left to bleed out in a ditch.
