If you are a fan of Xenoblade then the Nintendo Direct Stream that took place today (on 9th June 2026) certainly had something for you, as Nintendo and Monolith Soft announced that a brand new Xenoblade game, known as Xenoblade Genesis, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2027 while Nintendo Switch 2 Edition versions of Xenoblade Chronicles 1,2 & 3 will be released by the end of the year.

More details for all of the Xenoblade games will be revealed at a later date. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles will be available to purchase as an upgrade pack (for those that own the original Nintendo Switch game) or as a bundle containing both the game and upgrade pack. As a reminder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games can also be used on Nintendo Switch consoles, but they won’t benefit from the added extras.
