Hand placement, my guy.
Impressions:
AKA I Told Them To Go On Ahead Yada Yada Even Longer Yada. This one does do the whole S rank nonsense with an entire bureaucracy that regulates unlicensed heroics. Actually, now that I think about it, there hasn’t been a show yet about internal affairs for these kinds of things. Who enforces this crap? What are you going to do? Arrest someone for killing goblins while being the wrong rank or not taking on the quest? Or is this just a racketeering scheme?
Nothing interesting here either. The entire premise is explained by the title, but that doesn’t stop the first fifteen minutes of the episode reviewing it and explaining that this is the same banal not-quite-fantasy setting as every other one out there. How I long for the abject insanity of things like Horizon these days. He has the power to steal all powers used around him, got reincarnated or whatever, and so now he has to pretend to be a D rank adventurer and babysit some randos. Again, a little surprised they didn’t immediately try to shank him, but I guess this is trying to hew towards the less revenge oriented kicked from the party things. By having the party just retire while he gets his reincarnation/transmigration. Nothing new here. Nothing done particularly well. At least it avoids some of the absolute worst tropes of its ilk… at least so far. I see this demihuman girl in hot pants introduced at the very end, and no doubt she will be ushered straight into the harem.
