Cygames have today confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, known as Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Legendary Edition, is now available to pre-order digitally for £39.99 / $49.99 from the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch 2.
This Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Legendary Edition contains all content previously released for the game on other platforms, such as Deluxe Character Pass 1 and Deluxe Character Pass 2, as well as the new character Id from Granblue Fantasy Relink. Online multiplayer, which is a core aspect of arcade-styled fighting games, is also cross-play compatible with PlayStation and Steam owners, so all platforms can take to the skyrealm and do battle with one another.
As a reminder Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is the sequel to the 2020 game Granblue Fantasy Versus (of which was released by Cygames in Japan, XSEED Games in the US and Marvelous Europe in Europe) and expands upon the previous game with new characters, new game modes, revised gameplay, and lots more fun. The game originally released digitally onto the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Steam in 2023 and has seen many new characters and features added.
Core aspects of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising include an original story, 2-vs-2 gameplay in both offline and online multiplayer modes and an online party mode called Gran Bruise Legends where players race to finish in obstacle courses. New features being imtroduced also include a revised Super Ultimate+ Mode and Gyro controls on Nintendo Switch 2.
