A new Nintendo eShop listing have revealed that the latest visual novel from PROTOTYPE, known as Hatsumira -From the Future Undying-, will be released digitally worldwide on 11th April 2024 for the Nintendo Switch. A physical version of the game is also being released in Japan (with English text support) on the same day.
Hatsumira -From the Future Undying- is a portal-fantasy visual novel from the creative team behind the Fruit of Grisaia series, which is also available on the Nintendo Switch, and follows the story of Ichiro Mimori as he tries to find a way back home.
About: As the world war draws to a close, fighter pilot Ichiro Mimori is suddenly blown off course during a mission and crash-lands in a strange desert. There, he finds himself being rescued by an unusual woman who calls herself Yukikaze. Not only is she draped in exotic garb, but she also transforms into a gigantic dragon before his very eyes!
The foreign soil Ichiro now stands on is inhabited by a number of demi-human races, including the Dragon, Mermaid, and Dog tribes, and even the Undead! Nevertheless, this world too is ravaged by endless war, much like the one he left behind, and is teetering on the brink of an even greater calamity.
While Ichiro is determined to a find a way back home to Japan, where there are people waiting for him, he cannot turn his back on a world ready to repeat the mistakes of his own. And so begins Ichiro’s fight to unite the four tribes and attain peace!
Hatsumira -From the Future Undying- is currently available to pre-order digitally on the Nintendo eShop for £40.49, but a physical version (which includes English text support) will be released in Japan, and will be released on 11th April 2024.
