It has been quite some time since Anime Limited (otherwise known as All The Anime) announced that they would be releasing Naruto on Blu-Ray in the UK, it was back in October 2023 at MCM Comic Con in fact. But today, the distributor have revealed their UK release plans for the series and it starts from 2nd September 2024.
As outlined on the Anime Limited Blog, the Naruto TV Series will be presented in 4:3 High Definition video and feature English & Japanese audio (with English subtitles). Interestingly Anime Limited will not be using VIZ Media’s disc masters, and will instead be creating their own Blu-Ray discs using materials provided by Japan.
In terms of the actual release structure, then it gets a bit complicated. Anime Limited will release the series across 8 Blu-Ray sets in Standard Edition form, BUT the Collector’s Edition will be released across 4 Blu-Ray sets. This is because a single Collector’s Edition set will contain the equivalent of 2 Standard Edition sets. Bizarre, but that’s not all. The first Collector’s Edition set will also have an Anime Limited Store exclusive variant that comes with a box to hold all of the Collector’s Edition releases. Each of the Collector’s Editions will also feature a 32-page booklet and be presented in a rigid art box.

Further details about the release structure for Naruto can be found on the official blog, but details of Naruto Shippuden Blu-Ray release (which has also been licensed for UK release by Anime Limited) won’t be mentioned until these Naruto sets have been released (or at least prepared for release).
