Live Wire, publisher of the Japanese sprite-based bullet-hell shoot-em-up Mushihimesama, have recently announced that Mushihimesama will be removed from the Nintendo eShop on the 10th August 2024 due to an expiration of the licensing (publishing) agreement.
What this means is that from 10th August 2024 Mushihimesama will no longer be available to purchase on the Nintendo eShop. Those who previously purchased the game will still be able to re-download it and play it on their Nintendo Switch console after this date, but those who do not own it will no longer be able to purchase it.
Mushihimesama was originally released onto the Nintendo Switch back in 2021 and has received limited-run styled physical editions in both Japan and the US. For the time being the digital version of Mushihimesama is available to purchase from the Nintendo eShop, but from 10th August 2024 it will no longer be available for purchase. It’s also worth mentioning that this removal only effects the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
