Anime Limited, otherwise known as All The Anime, have today announced that they will release GODZILLA MINUS ONE on 4K Collector’s Edition, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD later this year. That’s not all as both GODZILLA MINUS ONE and GODZILLA MINUS ONE MINUS COLOR will screen at participating cinemas in the UK for a limited time.
GODZILLA MINUS ONE, which began its UK and IRE domination in cinemas on 15th December 2023, achieved over £2m at the box office and in June 2024 became available to stream on Netflix UK. A Black & White version of the film, known as GODZILLA MINUS ONE MINUS COLOR, was also produced in Japan and became available to stream globally on Netflix UK earlier this month.
Synopsis: In postwar Japan, Godzilla brings new devastation to an already scorched landscape. With no military intervention or government help in sight, the survivors must join together in the face of despair and fight back against an unrelenting horror. From renowned director, screenwriter & VFX visionary Takashi Yamazaki (The Eternal Zero, Stand By Me Doraemon) comes Godzilla Minus One, a film about the power of home in the face of despair. The film stars Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki, with music by Naoki Sato.
Anime Limited have not provided any specific details about the 4K Collector’s Edition, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, or DVD release of GODZILLA MINUS ONE, but the press release did state that they expect to release it in time for the holiday season with further details to be announced at a later date. In addition the cinema re-release of GODZILLA MINUS ONE, and cinematic debut of GODZILLA MINUS ONE MINUS COLOR, will also have details confirmed in the near future.
For the time being at least GODZILLA MINUS ONE and GODZILLA MINUS ONE MINUS COLOR are available to stream on Netflix UK.
