The final episodes of Dragon Ball Z Kai, known as Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters, are now available to stream on Crunchyroll for UK subscribers in both dubbed and subbed formats.
As a (final) reminder Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters is a continuation of Dragon Ball Z Kai, with these episodes covering the World Tournament and Buu Sagas. Just like Dragon Ball Z Kai this series has had filler content removed, scenes altered and (for the English Dub at least) a slightly different voice cast compared to Dragon Ball Z.
About: Seven years have passed since Cell’s defeat, and the Z Fighters have returned to normal life. Goku has continued his training in the Other World, Krillin has gotten married, and Gohan has his hands full attempting to navigate the pitfalls of high school. But with the new World Martial Arts Tournament about to begin, it’s time for Goku and the Z Fighters to reunite and face off against the greatest warriors on Earth! Meanwhile, the evil wizard Babidi has traveled across the galaxy on a quest for revenge, hoping to fulfill his father’s thwarted dreams of universal domination. The Supreme Kai has come to enlist the aid of the Z Fighters in his effort to prevent Babidi from awakening a monster of unimaginable terror—Majin Buu!
The episodes on Crunchyroll are presented in 16:9 widescreen, as they were in Japan, and can be found listed under Dragon Ball Z rather than having a separate listing like other shows. Interestingly depending on which audio language you choose will change some elements of the episode. For instance those watching the Japanese audio version will also see the Japanese opening and ending credits, whereas the English audio version sees these translated into English (just like they were in the English Blu-ray and DVD releases of the series).
The addition of Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters on Crunchyroll also means that the streaming service currently offers every episode of the TV Dragon Ball anime franchise in both dubbed and subbed formats.
