Anime Limited (All The Anime) in partnership with PLAION Pictures and CD PROJEKT RED have announced that they will release Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on Blu-Ray in the UK in 2025.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an anime series inspired by the Cyberpunk game developed by CD PROJEKT RED and launched on Netflix as an exclusive anime series in 2022. The series, which was animated by STUDIO TRIGGER was well received by fans of anime and the game, but could only be watched on the streaming service. Now, nearly three years on, fans wishing to own the series will be able to do so with the news that the series will be released on Blu-Ray.
About Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: Created in collaboration with studio TRIGGER, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners premiered on Netflix in 2022 and quickly became an international hit, garnering various awards including the prestigious Anime of the Year from the Anime Awards 2023. Set in the universe of CD PROJEKT RED’s best-selling video game Cyberpunk 2077, it tells the standalone story of David Martinez, a street kid trying to survive in the technology and body modification-obsessed megalopolis of Night City.
Specific details about this release have not been mentioned, but with Anime Limited acting as the distributor then we can probably expect a Collector’s Edition version of the series.
In addition to the anime series being released on Blu-Ray next year it has also been confirmed that a manga series will also be published and circulated. This manga series, known as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness, will act as a prequel story that focuses on Rebecca and her brother Pilar. The manga series will be distributed by Dark Horse Comics with the first volume due out later this month.

We’ll know more about the Blu-Ray release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners in the near future, but for the time being it is planned to release in 2025 in the UK. In the meantime the series can be streamed on Netflix in the UK.
