Chained Soldier & Dark Gathering UK Blu-Ray Release Dates Confirmed

New product listings on Amazon UK, HMV and Rarewaves, have revealed that MVM Entertainment will release Chained Soldier – Season 1 on 5th May 2025, and Dark Gathering – Complete Collection on 7th April 2025, on Blu-Ray in the UK. Previously both titles were announced for a 2025 release, alongside Urusei Yatsura, but until now no specific dates were mentioned.

In addition to the release date details the product listings also revealed additional information about each series, such as box art, language options and bonus features. Details of which can be found below.

Chained Soldier – Season 1 (Blu-Ray)
Release Date: 5th May 2025 | English & Japanese (with English subtitles)
12 Episodes on 2 Blu-Ray Discs | Bonus Features: Textless Songs

Synopsis: Shackled by fate, chained by desire. A tale of battle and inhuman bondage! In a world where only women can gain superpowers, Yuuki Wakura seemed doomed to a boring future working in secondary and caretaker positions. Then fate literally changes his world, pulling him into the monster-filled Mato dimension, where he’s rescued by the dominating Kyouka Uzen, whose ability temporarily gives Yuuki incredible power… at the cost of transforming him into her inhuman slave! Stunned at Yuuki’s strength when transformed, Kyouka decides to bind Yuuki to herself permanently… which he’s all too willing to do. Until it turns out that she also expects him to serve her all-female combat unit as maid and servant, even when he’s not fighting as her personal CHAINED SOLDIER!

Dark Gathering – Complete Collection (Blu-Ray)
Release Date: 7th April 2025 | English & Japanese (with English subtitles)
25 Episodes on 3 Discs | Bonus Features: Textless Songs & Episode Previews

Synopsis: Keitaro hates ghosts, but much to his horror, they’re drawn to him like moths to a flame.  After spending years as a shut-in to avoid spectral catastrophe, he finally musters the courage to rejoin society and get a part time job as a tutor to the child prodigy Yayoi. Yayoi isn’t just an academic genius, though. She’s a talented psychic medium hell-bent on finding the malevolent spirit behind her mother’s disappearance and she’s determined to drag ghost-magnet Keitaro into her the terrifying world of grotesque supernatural phenomenon.

These titles are not currently listed on MVM Entertainment’s own store, Anime-On-Line, but we believe this is because they will launch as early bird deals over the next two weeks (just like with Urusei Yatsura).

In the meantime you can view the full list of titles planned to release in the UK on our release schedule.
