New Anime

Charlotte to Stream on Netflix UK in February

A new listing in the “New & Popular” section of the Netflix application has revealed that 2015 anime series Charlotte will become available to stream on 15th February 2025 in the UK.

The series, which is only 13 episodes long, is animated by P.A Works and follows Yu Otosaka as he works with the Student Council in resolving issues with people that have supernatural abilities. The series was previously released on Blu-Ray (and DVD) in the UK by Anime Limited across two parts in both Collector’s Edition and Standard Edition form.

Synopsis: A small percentage of adolescents develop special abilities at the onset of puberty. Yu Otosaka is one of these few and deftly uses an ability that takes over a target’s body for five seconds to get accepted into a prestigious high school. Just when he is about to start a stable high school life as a popular honour student, a girl named Nao Tomori appears before him. Their encounter reveals the cruel destiny for wielders of special abilities.

It’s expected that all 13 episodes of the series (and possibly the OVA) will become available in dubbed and subbed formats on Netflix UK, but we won’t know for certain until it gets added to the streaming platform on 15th February 2025. In the meantime Charlotte is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll in the UK.
