Lazarus #10 — No Hurry

I’m rooting for genocide at this point.

Impressions:

Well, that was worth the wait. No, wait. The opposite. This episode was godawful on every level. Ostensibly about the twink dude, but it’s just that he has some loose connection to a place they want to go to, so it’s an excuse to go home and be shrieked at by family, at which point his personal development and connection to anything at all is finished and he dissolves back into the background with the rest. This may sound like nothing, but it consumes half the goddamned episode. And don’t think that there’s any action to come this week either. The protagonists spend literally the entire episode sitting on their asses listening to people blather at them, while also making no progress whatsoever. The animation and action scenes are the only reason left to watch this, and we’re not even getting that.

Anyway, so they go to the super hospital full of the greatest doctors for only the ultra rich, which apparently nobody had thought to talk to until this point despite the global medical emergency and… just get another random-ass wild goose chase lead… to follow next week. Like we haven’t done that every single goddamned episode. Oh, and remember the assassin guy from the end of last week? That’s also how this episode ends. Him showing up to, for a second week, go “look at me, I’m a bad-ass that will totally interact with the characters in some way… next week.”
