Wednesday Campanella, one of Japan’s most unique pop groups, has recently released the official Music Video for the song “Summer Ghost” ahead of the European Tour next month. Additionally, the song Summer Ghost is the opening theme song for the upcoming anime Kowloon Generic Romance which is available to simulcast stream on Crunchyroll.
Wednesday Campanella, a group that originally formed in 2013 with KOM_I as the lead vocalist until 2021 when Utaha joined, alongside Kenmochi Hidefumi (music) and Dir.F (direction/other roles), have released various tracks and collaborated with other groups in Japan. For those unfamiliar Wednesday Campanella combines electronic beats, pop melodies, and theatrical visuals to create a genre-defying sound. The band is gaining global attention, particularly after their viral hit “Edison,” which surpassed 100 million streams. More recently, in March 2024, the group held their first solo concert, METEOR SHOWER, at the Nippon Budokan. Fast forward to this year and not only is the latest song “Summer Ghost” being used as the opening theme for the anime series, but the group will be touring Europe between 27th July 2025 and 2nd August 2025.
As part of this European tour, known as the Summer Time Ghost Tour, Wednesday Campanella will be performing in London, Milan, Paris, and Katowice, with the London date set for 27th July 2025 at the London Heaven. Doors open at 6:30pm, with tickets available from just £33.60 and cab be purchased online through the Crosstown Concert website.
