Impressions:
Despite the messy stabbing, this was way more childish than Nube was. Or maybe just that much worse written. Dude facetanks a laser beam, has super healing powers, tells everybody he’s from another world, is the only one in the world able to wander around in demon-dimension, and everyone’s just like… yeah, that’s neat and all, but not worth looking into in any way. Just let him wander free and pick fights with the nobility. Also, for a world that apparently has catastrophic kaiju attacks at complete random every day, you’d expect it to be a bit more apocalyptic, especially if they’re struggling against every one of them. It’s not as cohesive even as something like Back Arrow at any rate, if we’re thinking original mecha shows. Nor has the same unhinged script despite all the random powers that he keeps pulling out of his ass, lest we forget that space baby delivery service began with the village wanting to eat a dude because they were really attached to the idea that a metal capsule must be an egg.
And then there’s the main character. Aside from his forementioned magic powers, he also has a sentai form from yelling hard enough, and then travels back in time when sufficiently stabbed, ala Re:Zero or Summer Time Rendering. These are just the random things that he has without explanation. Not that I want one, but I have trouble following things when he gets a new power every 15 seconds. What he actually does is yell that he’s going to fight everything, all the time, for any reason. Which doesn’t seem intended to be a joke, or for you to roll your eyes at. He’s a hot blooded teenager with hot blooded spirit and hot blooded hot blood. That’s charisma. Or something.
