Is the Sabikui Bisco Light Novel And Manga Series Finished?

Sabikui Bisco has a light novel and a manga series. ASCII Media Works published the light novel series, and Square Enix published manga part 1 and part 2. The light novel series started in 2018 and is still ongoing. As for manga, Part One began in 2019 and finished in 2021, while manga Part 2 started in 2021 and was completed in 2022.

The first season has covered the entire volume 1, and season 2 is expected to cover volume 2.

But fans should also read Volume 1 because it has some details that anime couldn’t animate. Even after season 2, there is still enough source material left for 4-5 complete seasons, so lack of source material will not be a problem for Sabikui Bisco. The light novel series was also well-loved by fans. In 2021, it was revealed that 300k copies of light novels were in circulation, and by 2023, the number must’ve reached 600k.

Sabikui Bisco Season 2 Plot

Sabikui Bisco takes place in Japan, which is converted into sandy plains after the apocalypse. People believe this all happened because of a mushroom and those who consumed it. But among them, Bisco Akaboshi, also known as Man-Eating Mushroom, has a different ideology on the whole situation. Akaboshi believes that if he manages to find the Sabikui mushroom, every problem will be solved, and people won’t criticize him or his mushrooms after that.

But he soon realizes that this mushroom is different. At the end of season 1, Milo and Bisco are happy to be together again, but Bisco’s right arm glows and spores. Milo suspects he’s part human and part Rust-Eater. Pawoo helps split the mask, but Bisco promises her anything she wants. Pawoo kisses Bisco, and Jabi shoots him at the Tetsujin’s head.
