Crim. Co Ltd have recently announced that El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron HD will launch digitally on 28th April 2024 for the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop. In addition this digital Nintendo Switch release will also include the post-ending novels “Lucifer’s Fall Chronicles of Ceta” and “El Shaddai ASCENSION OF THE METATRON ArtBook”.
Developed by a hugely-talented, Tokyo-based team, headed by the legendary Sawaki Takeyasu (Devil May Cry), El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, draws players into a rich storyline inspired by events in the Old Testament’s apocryphal ‘Book of Enoch.’ In the game, players take on the role of Enoch and must harness his natural combat skills to master a range of powerful and Heavenly weapons under the guidance of the watchful Archangels. Through a mesmerising combination of combat, 2D and 3D platforming, Enoch must deliver the souls of the Fallen Angels and spare the world from a great flood ordered by Heaven.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron combines many genre elements with its glorious anime style graphical presentation that changes dramatically as the player progresses through a totally mesmeric experience. What is offered within El Shaddai goes far beyond these confines in that action, strategy and platforming are just a few of the challenges and exciting dangers that unfold.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron was originally released onto the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in 2011, and was released onto Windows PC (via Steam) in 2021, but now long-time-fans, and newcomers, will be able to experience the original game remastered in HD for the Nintendo Switch on 28th April 2024.
