Camera sure likes her chest, doesn’t it?
Impressions:
I really wish the animation and fight scene direction in this show was better. It’s at least trying to tell a story, and has covered more ground in any given episodes than, say, Shy, has in four, and the characters continue to be at least baseline competent and not do anything too exasperating, though Rinne’s fawning adoration for Kai doesn’t make a great deal of sense when literally every single person has treated her in the exact same way, and she’s not desperate for any of their babies. Even some small twists here and there with a little demonic power struggle in the middle of the fight.
But the budget really isn’t there, so all these fights are lacking both tension and excitement. Kai’s at least instantly stabbing the lady after she does her whole Basic Instinct leg crossing scene, but it otherwise plays out in a very PG rated sequence of everybody running into a copy paste demon, telling them to go ahead, and then catching up two minutes later. So it’s not lingering overly long, or getting sucked into too long of monologues, but it’s still just… disappointingly mediocre.
