Anime Limited, otherwise known as All The Anime, have recently confirmed that a Standard Edition Blu-Ray version of Akame Ga Kill will be released on 26th August 2024 and that pre-orders also available on the AllTheAnime Store.
Akame Ga Kill was originally released on Blu-Ray and DVD in 2016 by Animatsu Entertainment in the UK, but the series was re-licensed by Anime Limited in 2023 and then re-released earlier this year as a Complete Series Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray. The Standard Edition Blu-Ray will feature the same disc content as the previous Collector’s Edition release, of which saw all 24 Episodes (in both English & Japanese) across 3 Blu-Ray Discs and also included 24 “AkaKill! Theater” shorts and promotional videos as bonus features.
Synopsis: When Tatsumi set off for the Capital, it was with fantasies of earning riches for his poverty-stricken hometown. Instead, his friends were murdered and Tatsumi finds himself at the centre of a bloody revolution. With an evil Prime Minister, the Secret Police, and the armies of an Empire on one side, and the elite assassins known as Night Raid and a handful of rebels on the other, it might sound like an impossible battle for Tatsumi’s new allies to win. However the playing field is levelled with the addition of a legendary set of unstoppable weapons, the Imperial Arms. Unfortunately, to use an Imperial Arm is practically a death sentence in itself, for while the Arms are indestructible, few wielders can survive using them for long in AKAME GA KILL – THE COMPLETE COLLECTION!
At the time of writing this Standard Edition Blu-Ray of Akame Ga Kill – The Complete Series is only available on the AllTheAnime Store, but we suspect that general retail listings will appear in the coming days. For the time being at least Akame Ga Kill – The Complete Series is scheduled for a 26th August 2024 release within the UK.
