It has been announced that rare footage from the live “SOUVENIR OF TOKYO” concert, held by the YOKO KANNO SEATBELTS in August 2001, will gradually be released on to the FlyingDog YouTube channel starting from 22nd November 2024.
it is reported that this is the only official footage of the concert, and was originally included in the 2001 DVD release FUTURE BLUES. The 8mm film captures the performances by Yoko Kanno and a lineup of top-tier musicians, with the footage preserving the raw energy and atmosphere of the live event. For those unfamiliar Yoko Kanno is a musician, composer and producer who has composed songs for various anime, games, movies and TV shows in Japan. Most notable works include music featured within Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Macross Plus.
