Maybe cry some more, dudes. You’ve only seen this exact tragedy four times in the last 24 hours.
Impressions:
While Aquarion is threatening to tick up slightly, this was a big supposedly action packed episode, and it was awful enough for me to worry that this was the high point and not want to go any further. Unlike, say, Bye Bye Earth, so little happened in this episode despite multiple stabbings, and yet, the monologuing could not stop. Not even good monologues. Just dudes ranting about how how they’re super awesome, invulnerable, and super racist right before getting stabbed or slashed. Then other dudes cry. Oh, excuse me, occasionally mind-controlled elf girls cry too. We’ve heard it all before.
It’s the same backstory and motivation for literally every single antagonist so far and they’re all running togther. All of them looking like bricks isn’t helping either. This is something like the fourth army of monsters and third giant pile of skulls we’ve been through within a ten mile radius, and these people are somehow still being pitched as devious masterminds who are hiding their evil even as they spend half the episode cackling and yelling about how much evil they love doing and can’t stop torturing everybody. At least actually get on with it.
