Thanks, very necessary.
Impressions:
I expected nothing from this episode, and that’s indeed what we got. Even the cliffhanger of Yuri showing back up was immediately ruined by the next episode preview showing that she immediately vanishes again, and that they stumble into a giant lab of people pods. But that’s for next week, and still about the only thing worth talking about. I hoped for a second that the sister seemingly getting really desperate to have a weapon of her own, or one of theirs, might be some kind of foreshadowing or hint that she/that group was some alien honeypot trap focused on Renge, but then they said no, everybody dropped it, recapped the situation another seventeen times, and went off to sit in a bath and pose for cheesecake shots for five straight minutes while continuing to recap the current situation.
So stick this in the same boat as episodes three through six. Entirely unnecessary with a cliffhanger tease at the end completely unrelated to anything just to string you along. At least it does seem to be going back to the plot after a single episode this time instead of a month. Probably because the season’s nearly over.
