So much for a big final explosive fight.
No, it’s not just you. My host is going through some stability issues for the last day and a half. Perhaps the site, like all blogs post 2016, is finally trying to give up the ghost.
Impressions:
Well, that was godawful. Astonishingly, for the big climax, we get padding, padding, more padding, padding, then, 18 minutes into the episode, the final battle finally begins and it’s… recycled stock footage. But they won’t do that for Renge, right? Nope. She just kamikazes straight into the boss, summons friendship power from the dead clone ghosts, and then keels over due to magic sickness. It was easily the worst action scene on every front. It lacked the emotion and desperation of either the second episode or the… eighth I think was the one were Renge was parkouring through buildings. It obviously lacked the animation. The big boss didn’t even do jack squat.
So goes the big explosive climax. Everybody working together against their greatest foe, and THIS is the effort you’re putting into it? Come on, GoHands. Is there some bigger final-er boss that’s going to pop out from the sidelines next week to take a second whack at the friendship power schtick? What a deflating and awful way to end things in a show that was already about 80% filler.
