With the harem.
Impressions:
What a boring, awful episode. I think the part of it that really killed me was about a third into it, when they finally pushed the dude to investigate the new guy with a missing non-brother, and instead he went to go hang out with his underage not-girlfriend instead where they had a thrilling conversation about nothing at all. She asked him why he hunted demons, and instead of the billion obvious answers, revenge, justice, protecting the weak, responsibility, he shrugs and goes “Gee, golly. I guess it’s just my destiny.” Could you be any more of a boring slab of rock without any personality whatsoever? This almost feels like a bad VN where the protagonist doesn’t even have voice lines and exists solely to be talked at by his harem.
And it doesn’t help that there’s no monster roaming around eating people or anything either. There’s… just this one dude’s vague feeling that he’s supposed to have a brother and people think its weird to varying degrees of hostility. That information is conveyed in, you guessed it, another five minute conversation sitting at a table over drinks, which is itself a recap of how he said it before at a different table having a different meal. DO SOMETHING. Why is this story about chasing murderous incestous demons through eating them spending entire episodes sighing at kitchen tables? My patience here is wearing very, very thin.
