Way to destroy the bowling timeline.
Impressions:
Okay, so, apparently they can leave whenever they feel like it? Or whenever their teenage insecurity reaches its breaking point, a hole opens in the sky via bowling ball and summons a swing to take them away? Yeah, we know. We’ve all been through puberty. Aside from that moment of insanity, it was another really boring and pointless episode, which is pushing this show to about 90% pointless, 8% bowling nonsense, and 2% sucking holes in things, either people or time. That’s not a good balance.
There’s so many things that this character could be angsting or insecure over. You’re trapped in a horrible time period where you’re likely to be abused, murdered, and die in childbirth at age 15, or if not that, succumb to the black plague or something. Instead, she’s insecure because she had a rough childhood. Suburbia rough, mind you. And so she’s insecure about being part of their little club. That’s it. That’s her entire deal over four episodes. But they’re FRIENDS, and so they’ll never leave her behind. Predicate this crisis of insecurity on something. Not just generalized angst. And for god’s sake, don’t make the entire episode to that point everybody pissing around with zero regard for their situation or each other except for the 2% of the episode where all of a sudden it’s super dramatic the most important thing ever.
