My Neighbour Totoro stage show Extends its West End Run until August 2026

This news can be considered old (as it was announced last month) but it is definitely worth knowing, as the My Neighbour Totoro stage show continues to receive success at the London West End as organizers have confirmed that its West End Run has been extended until 30th August 2026.

As a reminder this My Neighbour Totoro performance is a stage play adapted from the iconic Studio Ghibli film and was produced in partnership by Joe Hisaishi and the Royal Shakespeare Company, in collaboration with Nippon TV and Improbable. The performance originally debut at the Barbican Theatre in 2022 to massive success, and returned again the following year for another round of sell-outs performances. Last year it was announced the performance would be moving to Gillian Lynne Theatre, in London’s West End, and would run from 8th March 2025 until 2nd November 2025. But now, the show is being extended until 30th August 2026.

If you’ve yet to see the My Neighbour Totoro stage play, and are a fan of the animated film, then I definitely recommend grabbing a ticket and watching it. As it is a magical performance that perfectly captures the magic of the film. Further information, and details about the show, can also be found on the official website.
