Too much, or not enough LSD.
Impressions:
…I’ve completely lost the thread of what this entire sequence, or arc, was even meant to be. It turns out that the entire episode last week, he did indeed just have a literal fever, and wasn’t really having a panic attack or whatever. So he spends the first five minutes of this episode in bed, being nursed by Iroha and then everything about that, including her, evaporates from the episode for something completely different. So what was the point exactly? Pointing out that people act a bit different in different circumstances? That Iroha will tone down her teasing, but still be doing it, when he’s sick? Everything else is just left hanging.
And what do we do instead for the entire second half of the episode? We check in not exactly with the teacher, but with her little sister, who’s trying to put on some kind of psychedelic mushroom themed Nutcracker epilepsy inducing performance. How wacky that is. What silly ridiculous this is with all the misunderstandings and blatant nonsense. Apparently. Maybe I’d be more receptive if it didn’t feel like we dropped the previous storyline without any resolution and jumped into this over-the-top purely comic relief character with extra yelling and blasting the eyes with technicolor nightmares.
