KOEI TECMO Games have recently announced that DEAD OR ALIVE 6 will be making its next-gen debut as DEAD OR ALIVE 6 LAST ROUND for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. A free-to-play version, known as DEAD OR ALIVE 6 LAST ROUND Core Fighters Edition, will also be released with both editions expected for a 25th June 2026 release.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 LAST ROUND is described as the optimized version of DEAD OR ALIVE 6, of which released back in 2019 for PlayStation 4 & Xbox One, and allows owners of DEAD OR ALIVE 6 the ability to carry over DLC costumes, premium tickets, and save data. As you’d expect DEAD OR ALIVE 6 LAST ROUND will feature improved visuals and performance compared to its original version.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 LAST ROUND includes the original 24 characters alongside five characters from the game’s DLC lineup* (Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki). In addition, popular characters such as Kasumi and Marie Rose will receive five costumes inspired by other Team NINJA titles such as NINJA GAIDEN 3 Razor’s Edge and DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation. A Photo Mode has also been added, enabling players the ability to capture every angle of their favourite fighters by exploring brand-new features such as “character position” and “pose selection”
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters Edition, which is the free-to-play version of the game, will feature Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO to use from launch. Photo Mode and online modes** “DOA Quest” and “DOA Central” will also be playable. Story Mode will only be accessible in Core Fighters Edition by purchasing the Story DLC Unlock.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 LAST ROUND, and DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Las Round Core Fighters Edition, is scheduled for a 25th June 2026 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. Further details can be found on the official website.
