KOEI TECMO Games surprised Atelier fans by releasing the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, a game which originally released onto the Nintendo Switch (as well as other platforms) in 2025.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land features improved visuals and frame-rate but also introduces support for GameShare where two players can explore the world of Aladdiss together.
About: Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land follows alchemist Yumia Liessfeldt and her companions as they journey across the ruined continent of Aladiss, seeking the truth behind its destruction and the fall of Aladissian Empire.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land saw a departure from the traditional Atelier formula, introducing an exciting open-world adventure and a brand-new real-time combat experience. Once a land that thrived with alchemy, Aladiss’ history and alchemical past has now been lost, and alchemy has become taboo. To unearth its mysteries, Yumia travels across the vast land collecting materials and items, which can be used for synthesis and crafting during her quest. From these, players will be able to create new items to use in both exploration and combat, which can be done without returning to their base through the “Simple Synthesis” feature. Additionally, as a first for the series, fans will be able to build and decorate their own base with the “Building” feature.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land can be purchased digitally as a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition or, if you already own the Nintendo Switch game, as an upgrade pack. Both the upgrade pack and the digital Nintendo Switch 2 Edition are also available to purchase with a 43% discount for a limited time.
In addition to this Nintendo Switch 2 Edition release KOEI TECMO Games have also teased more information about Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories, a new entry in the franchise that is being released in 2027 for the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S & Windows PC. Further details will also be revealed in a special stream on the 12th June 2026.
