All Works Maid #01 — Be Not Afraid

Please put those arms away.

Impressions:

Yeah, yeah. The season preview is done, except for polishing up the pre-season swing ratings, which are all vibes and whatever quibs I can crowbar in anyway. There’s another cheat show tomorrow, and another one had a super early two episode premiere like three weeks ago that I’ll probably post about tomorrow as well. There’s a lot of this cheat power this season. …And every season. No, obviously, that’s not the title. It’s actually “Heroine? Saint? No, I’m Proudly an All Works Maid.” And doesn’t that already tell you everything that you need to know? She has cheat powers, but she asked to be average in this life, so she’s gonna be the best maid ever because it’s always been her dream in life to be someone’s servant. Aim high, lady.

The most notable thing about this is that the OP has a lot of high pitched chirpy rapping in it for some reason. Does that even count? Past that, it’s the same as every one of these “I just wanted a relaxed life, but I have cheat powers” shows. It’s unexpectedly light on the status screens since they were shown off in the promos, but makes up for it by having an obnoxious invisible narrator hanging around to explain everything for you. This is on top of her own internal narrations, and everyone else’s as well. Half-assed at that. You’d expect there to be at least some examples of her doing insane maid things, but nope. Nothing whatsoever. She is the best maid ever by dint of existing and wanting to be a maid.
