DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3, which was previously announced as DRAGON BALL Project Age 1000, has received a new gameplay trailer as well as some additional details ahead of its planned 2027 releasefor PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S & Steam.
As previously reported DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 takes place in Age 1000, several decades after the timelines seen in previous Dragon Ball games, and will see players guided into the ranks of the Great Saiyan Squad as you create your own character and fight alongside allies. New details revealed, and shown in the trailer, is that Bulma (who looks suspiciously like an Angel like Whis) and Gamma 1 will help guide you through your adventure and you’ll make new allies in the form of Brett, Lilica, ROM, and Tap.
Combat gameplay looks relatively the same as previous DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE entries, with different abilities (such as Super Saiyan transformations) being usable depending on the character race selected during character creation. However, this time a new Soul Switch feature is available where players can absorb the soul of legendary warriors (such as Trunks, Piccolo, and Vegeta) to become them in battle for a limited time. A Soul Assist mechanic is also available where players can use specialized attacks based on that characters soul without becoming them.
DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 is planned for a 2027 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S & Steam with more details to be revealed at a later date.
