Girl power!
Summer preview will be up tomorrow around this time, and then I’m out of town this weekend, so anything posted will be hours delayed from usual.
Impressions:
Predictably awful ending. He tells her that she’s cute, and that’s all she ever wanted, attention from a boy. Therefore, Jubei declares her lot in life is over, wanders out in a field and dissolves. This is after she consumed almost the entire first five minutes providing color commentary. Of the first half of the episode, I think almost 10 minutes of it was listening to Jubei monologue. Jubei whose entire purpose in this show has been to be stabbed, not die, then spontaneously die.
But let’s turn to the cliffhanger between the Einsteins. It was resolved off-screen between episodes. Everyone called it quits and went home. Why? Because there are plans afoot. What plans? Not going to tell you. Very mysterious. Very intriguing, right? Read the manga, I guess. Or pray for another season, though lord only knows why. Power of gods, and all you can do is clench your fist and declare you’re gonna try to do something. Eventually. Not this season, but maybe next season. That’d be the kick in the pants you need.
