Netflix have today announced that the feature-length-film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, which is the second film in the Hathaway story, will be added to the streaming platform worldwide on 31st August 2026. The film can also be added to your watch list as a reminder on the Netflix application.
Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe is the latest film produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks and SUNRISE and featuring music from Hiroyuki Sawano. The film released earlier this year in Japan, and saw limited screenings in the US, and was announced at MCM Comic Con London as receiving a UK cinema release later this Autumn.
Synopsis: For twelve years, the Earth Federation has ruled with an iron fist. Its ministers live in luxury. Its people live in fear. Hathaway Noa knows this better than anyone. The son of legendary commander Bright Noa, he grew up in the shadow of a war that was supposed to bring freedom — and watched that promise rot from within.
Now he leads MAFTY, a resistance movement willing to do what others won’t.
But as the Adelaide Conference draws closer and Federation forces close in, Hathaway finds himself pulled toward something unexpected: Gigi Andalucia, a mysterious woman whose cryptic words cut deeper than any weapon. Her presence stirs something in him — something he’s spent years trying to bury.

This news certainly does come as a welcome surprise, especially after the announcement Anime Limited & Bandai Hobby UK made at MCM Comic Con earlier this year, as it means UK fans won’t have much longer to wait until they can watch the film. As mentioned, the film can be added to your Netflix watch list as a reminder and we expect the film will be available to stream from 31st August 2026.
