Oh no. The evil witch was evil. How could this have happened?
Impressions:
OH BOY. A flashback episode. You know how much I always love those for not being huge wastes of time that add so much. This one about Lisa’s backstory. She was captured by humans, saved by her little boytoy servant, and now they microdose the magic potions. That’s it. That’s her entire backstory. Oh, and she moonlights as a tour guide. Why? Hell if I know. Cause fish, I guess. And then, at the end of it, she vows to re-attack Lara’s family. The thing that she already vowed to do last week and was interrupted, so that’s two episodes ending on that. Are we going to get to that at some point? Or is it instead going to be about Lara going all fishtail at the sight of her reincarnated crush, a sentence that pains me.
Mostly it raises the question as to why anybody at any point would have trusted the evil sea witch. Lara? Okay, sure, stupid kid who doesn’t know better. Then the entire kingdom doubles down on it and turns straight to her to save them, which she apparently doesn’t. Yet also spends the entire time gloating in mirrors when she’s not idling in a ten dollar fish tank. Every character is a moron, plain and simple.
